The Memphis Area Career Center, also known as MACC, serves several individuals and employers in Shelby and Fayette counties in Tennessee. The center operates the Meritan office, which serves senior citizens. It offers tutorial, adult mentoring, occupational skills training, and guidance, drug and alcohol abuse counseling services to youths between the ages of 14 and 21. The Memphis Area Career Center provides a range of educational, vocational rehabilitation and placement solutions. It also offers online job searching options. The center organizes career development, resume writing and interviewing skills workshops, as well as provides transportation and unemployment services. The Memphis Area Career Center works in collaboration with the Workforce Investment Network and Memphis City Schools.
