Mercy Medical Center is a more than 900-bed acute care, nonprofit Catholic hospital located in Des Moines, Iowa. It was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1893. The center employs more than 5,000 people, with a medical staff of over 800 physicians and allied health professionals.
