For over 50 years Merry Go Round Children's Store has served as the Seattle area's premier retailer for top-of-the line children's goods, clothes, furniture, toys and accessories. Merry Go Round first opened in 1947 in downtown Seattle by then-owner George Steiner. In 1961 Steiner expanded by opening a Bellevue branch which has operated out of the same site for the 44 years. Bob Brown purchased the business in 1972 which consolidated its branches to the single store in Bellevue. Right from the beginning his daughter Molly has been a part of the store, working for her father in one way or another, and in 1999 Merry Go Round was passed from one generation to another when Molly and her husband Bob Pressey bought the business from her father. But, Molly sees it as much more than a business.
