Established in 1949, Metro Tech High School is an educational institution that offers a variety of learning opportunities to students. It maintains academic and career technical departments. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,350 students. Metro Tech High School provides vocational courses in advertising design, business management, commercial photography, early childhood development and culinary arts. It administers the English Language Learners program, as well as offers guidance counseling services. The school also provides classes in floral design, math, reading, science, social studies, and health and physical education. Metro Tech High School operates a library that has a collection of books, journals and online databases. It maintains volleyball, cosmetology and world culture clubs.
