At the Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) Pain Center, our patients have one thing in common: persistent or nagging pain that has become a major barrier to enjoying a full, active, and productive lifestyle. The MVH Pain Center is dedicated to improving each patient's quality of life with the help of the latest pain medication, therapies, interventional techniques and specialists.
We offer a comprehensive evaluation to determine specifically which medical interventions are necessary to improve each patient's overall quality of life. We have access to the latest pain management techniques and specialists such as: a Pain Physician, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians.
Because the Pain Center is located in a hospital setting, patients are supported by a wide network of pain professionals at all levels of care, including pain psychologists, chronic pain physical therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical nurses who are specialized in acute pain medication management and chronic pain behavior. Together, the MVH Pain Center Team delivers a caring, nurturing approach to reducing patient pain.
The MVH Pain Center was established 30 years ago in combination with the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program. The Acute Pain Service was established 12 years ago. Many of our experts have been with the center for all, or most of that time.
