The Mid-Cumberland Area Development Corporation was established in 1983 as a nonprofit corporation to serve the capital needs of small businesses in Middle Tennessee. It partners with lenders to provide low-interest, long-term business loans. The corporation works to increase private investment and economic growth that creates new jobs in the community. The Mid-Cumberland Area Development Corporation has generated more than $50 million in small business loans, over $135 million in private lending and nearly 5,000 small business jobs. Located in Nashville, Tenn., it is designated by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a certified development company to package, close and service SBA 504 loans.
