MIKID, also known as Mentally Ill Kids in Distress, is a nonprofit organization that provides education, resources and support for children with developmental disabilities. Incorporated in Arizona in 1991, it operates full-service offices in Tucson and Yuma, Ariz., as well as satellite offices with limited services in Apache and Navajo counties in Arizona. MIKID administers various substance abuse prevention programs. The organization has a staff of more than 25 employees. It is certified by the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health. Additionally, the organization provides phone and Internet support to families throughout the state of Arizona. MIKID maintains a presence in Phoenix.
