Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency, located in Rome, N.Y., is a social and welfare organization that offers a wide range of medical and nursing assistance to the communities throughout the state. It organizes various programs, such as youth services, housing, child development, family resources and teen talk programs. The family resources program includes services, such as foster assistance to seniors, homelessness intervention, patient aides and family development. The organization additionally offers rehabilitation services, and organizes physical, occupational and speech therapy programs, group and individual counseling, and intensive and critical care services. The center provides 24-hour medical and health care services to communities. It is a member of the National Association of Community Action Agencies.
