Founded in 1974, The Montessori School of Raleigh is a community dedicated to the education of children guided by the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori. The Montessori elementary curriculum includes English, science, social studies, the arts, foreign language, writing and math. French and Spanish are the two main foreign languages tought in the school. French is introduced in the seventh grade and French and Spanish are taught at the Middle School. At the Montessori School of Raleigh technology is fully integrated into the upper elementary and Middle School curriculum. The school s full-time physical education teacher is also available for games, sports and fitness programs. The Montessori School of Raleigh is located in Raleigh, N.C.
