Montgomery County MRDD, also known as the Montgomery County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, provides a variety of primary care services for children and adults with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. It also offers mental health services for senior citizens. The board provides adult habilitation and organizational and community employment services. Montgomery County MRDD operates the Calumet & Jergens Centers, which offer skill development programs for adults. It provides a range of early intervention services for the development of physical, social, emotional and communication skills of children. The board additionally offers recreational and transportation programs. Established in 1968, Montgomery County MRDD maintains an employment and training center and several habilitation facilities. It provides a family home services program.
