Monti's La Casa Vieja

Monti s La Casa Vieja serves more than half a million diners every year. Located on the banks of the Salt River and tucked away on the north end of Mill Avenue in Tempe, Ariz., Monti's La Casa Vieja is steeped in a tradition of hospitality associated with the Southwestern United States that dates back more than 130 years. The restaurant makes its home in an authentic adobe hacienda that's an icon of Arizona history. The building was constructed in 1871 by Tempe founder Charles Trumball Hayden, and was the birthplace of Carl Hayden, who the Arizona Republic has named the most important person in Arizona history. Monti s features a menu with steak, prime rib, barbecue beef, pork chops and ribs, soups and salads, seafood and an array of sandwiches. Monti s also provides catering and banquet services.
