Moon Mountain Elementary School offers educational services to students in prekindergarten through grade six. It offers a learning environment with differentiated instruction through the use of multiple intelligence strategies. The school provides instruction in art, music and physical education. It offers school-wide citizenship, on-site special education, parks and recreation, extended day care, artist in residence, gifted education, Head Start, English Language Learners, and drug, tobacco and alcohol prevention programs. Moon Mountain Elementary School also conducts after-school remedial, summer school, community education, computer and parenting classes. Its site council functions as a school-based leadership group and ensures that individuals who are affected by the outcome of a decision at the school site have an opportunity to provide input into the decision-making process.
