It investigates crime scenes, seizes and analyzes evidence, identifies and speaks to witnesses and victims of crime, recovers stolen property, and identifies and arrests offenders. The Mounds View Police Department also provides services for managing traffic and emergency incidents. It is operated by the city of Mounds View, Minn., which also operates other departments, such as parks and recreation, finance, fire and rescue, human resources and public works.
