Mount Mercy Academy, located in Buffalo, N.Y., was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1904. It is a Catholic secondary school for young women sponsored by the Buffalo Regional Community of the Sisters of Mercy. More than 11,000 students have graduated from the academy. It offers a wide range of academic programs, including English, foreign language, arts, career and computer development, mathematics, career internship program, hospitality express program, global history and geography, economics, sociology, world religions, music and physical education. In addition, Mount Mercy Academy offers a variety of online learning courses that include art history, accounting, health, creative writing, American government, economics, introduction to psychology and environmental science.
