Established in 1993, The North Carolina Partnership for Children provides technical assistance and training in the areas of administration, communication, technology, fiscal and contracts management, as well as program and organizational development. It administrates Smart Start, which is a nationally recognized early childhood education program. The North Carolina Partnership for Children also focuses on the linguistic, cultural, health and social development of children with special needs. Additionally, its national technical assistance center provides assistance to states and localities that are working to ensure the healthy development of school children. The North Carolina Partnership for Children is located in Raleigh, N.C.
