Located in Aloha, Ore., the NAMI of Washington County is a nonprofit, volunteer-based service organization that works to provide support, education and advocacy for the consumers, families and friends of individuals with persistent mental illnesses. It offers assistance in various cases, such as schizophrenia, depression, and bipolar, obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders. The organisation also educates the public on issues related to mental health and administers several programs for individuals and families with severe brain disorders.
