Certified in 1987, the National Air Traffic Controllers Association is one of the strongest labor unions in the federal sector and is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association consists of approximately 14,500 members. It represents controllers, as well as other safety-related professionals, which includes engineers, traffic management coordinators and staff specialists. The National Air Traffic Controllers Association is located in Washington, D.C.
