The National Dental Association Foundation began operations in 1976 as a 501(c) 3 entity. It is a part of the National Dental Association (NDA), which compromises of 48 state and local chapters throughout the United States and Caribbean. Operational since 1900, National Dental Association represents over 6,000 Black dentists and 30 million Black Americans. It is the parent organization of the Student National Dental Association, National Dental Hygienists Association, National Dental Assistants Association and Auxiliary National Dental Association.
