The Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA has been supporting the collar counties since 1980. We are committed to providing our members with complete, innovative, and unrivaled professional support. We recognize the unique demands of the electrical industry. Balancing the responses to these demands with professional and dedicated management is the heart of our philosophy. The Northeastern Illinois Chapter of NECA employs a team of dedicated, inventive and knowledgeable managers whose primary interest is maintaining sound relationships between industry parties. In partnership with IBEW Locals 117, 150, 461 and 701, Northeastern Illinois NECA provides superior training opportunities at four different state-of-the-art training centers. The most highly trained in the industry, our union electricians complete 10, 000 hours of training in the classroom and/or on the job in order to become certified. And it does not stop there. Our journeymen electricians continue to update their knowledge with ongoing education on the latest technology, code changes, and safety procedures. The proof of their expertise is in the Certification Card, worn only by NECA/IBEW journeymen and apprentice electricians. Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA was formed to react to the varied needs of its member firms in northeastern Illinois including the Chicagoland area. We are committed to improving the relationship between our members and the local unions. We accomplish this through pioneering measures, which include: Providing industry leaders with current information designed to improve the electrical contracting industry as a whole,
