Northwest Community Wellness is a department in Northwest Community Hospital, a 488-bed care facility offering a full range of medically advanced inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital has three treatment centers, located in Buffalo Grove, Lake Zurich and Schaumburg, Ill. The main facility is located in Arlington Heights, Ill. The hospital has more than 372,000 outpatient visits annually, including visits to the Hospital Emergency Department and treatment centers. This includes more than 18,000 inpatient and outpatient surgical cases, ranging from open heart surgery and joint replacement to neurosurgery and minimally invasive procedures. It also has over 1,000 physicians with offices throughout the northwest suburbs. Northwest Community Hospital once again received a three-year Accreditation with Commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Outstanding achievements highlighted in the evaluation include impressive annual programmatic improvements, outstanding clinical trial accrual and an active outreach program for prevention and early detection of cancer.
