Established in 1996, Northwestern Middle School, also known as NMS, serves more than 1,200 students in grades six through eight. The school offers learning opportunities to students from the communities of Roswell, Alpharetta and northern Fulton County in Georgia. Its campus includes a cafeteria, media center, gymnasium and computer laboratories. Northwestern Middle School also provides instruction in language arts, math, science and social studies. The school operates book, international and environmental awareness clubs. It offers programs in foreign language, music, and physical and health education. The school additionally provides a talented and gifted program and operates a parent-teacher association. Its extracurricular activities include soccer, tennis, and track and field. Northwestern Middle School is a part of the Fulton County School System.
