OAI is a nonprofit workforce development agency that was founded in 1976. It administers several pre-employment educational and training development programs that are designed to provide individual and communities. The agency provides training for positions, such as environmental remediation workers, pharmacy technicians, document specialists, health care workers, customer service representatives and legal assistants. OAI also conducts hazardous waste worker training for emergency responders and workers handling hazardous materials. It administers the English as a Second language program for works in the private and manufacturing sectors. The agency s Community Technology Center provides technology resources and education services and serves more than 500 individuals annually.
