Oak Grove Primary School is a learning center that is designated as a Model School by the Mississippi Arts Commission and has an annual enrollment of more than 750 students. It is also a recipient of Health is Academic, which is a competitive grant funded by the Bower Foundation. The school maintains a parent-teacher organization that works to enhance learning opportunities for its students and staff members. Oak Grove Primary School also supports an accelerated reader program and offers a variety of fiction and nonfiction books. It is a part of the Lamar County School District and offers educational classes for students in kindergarten and first grade.
