Founded in 1967, Odyssey House is one of the leading organizations that provides a range of services for individuals with substance abuse problems in New York. It also provides services for senior citizens, adolescents and parents with mental illnesses and medical problems. It works in partnership with Volunteers of America to provide therapeutic community treatment services to alcoholic and drug-addicted homeless men. Odyssey House also offers medical, vocational and housing services. The organization works with a team of program directors, social workers, counselors, resident assistants, administrators, and financial and accounting staff members. It provides medication management, HIV testing and counseling services. Odyssey House maintains its corporate headquarters in New York City.
