We use the Woodcock Johnson III as an assessment tool.Omegas AIM Tutoring System (Apply, Integrate, Manage) provides the instructional framework for our tutors, where they can easily access proprietary Common Core Standards" -aligned supplemental teaching resources. Tutors send daily progress reports to parents and teachers at school. Our communication system keeps everyone informed on your academic team and exponentially increase your child's academic growth.
General Information
Omega builds your customized tutoring program in a 4 step process:
1) WJIII Assessment: Omega uses the Woodcock Johnson III tests of achievement to pin points skills gaps within specific areas of reading and math.
2) Custom Program: A custom program is developed for your child based on their skills gaps, learning style, family goals, current grades, and study habits. Each program is assigned a program emphasis based on what your child needs most. Program objectives are clearly defined and include solidifying core academic concepts, improving classroom performance, and building important application skills.
3) AIM Tutoring System: At each session the student is graded in the areas of effort, attitude, and accuracy. There are comments and recommendations made for home growth. This DAILY correspondence is emailed to the students parents and teacher at school to keep everyone informed and create your academic team.
4) Proven Results: Omega provides you with proven results. Upon program completion, your child will be given a post assessment and a parent conference is scheduled to review your childs academic growth and program objectives.
