The heritage of One Workplace started in 1925 as Lindsay s bookstore in San Jose, a community built around agriculture, not entrepreneurs. The bookstore evolved and started selling stationary and office supplies to the businesses in downtown San Jose. As time progressed Corporate Express, merged with Rucker Fuller, and the new company changed its name to One Workplace. It expertise with new technology led into the businesses of: asset management and storage; audiovisual systems integration; delivery; eBusiness solutions; furniture care services; and installation, to name a few. One Workplace has become a headquarters for furniture accessories, desks and cubicles, lighting, seating and storage. Today, with offices in Milpitas, San Francisco and Alameda, One Workplace continues to explore new ideas about streamlining the business to deliver products and services faster, cheaper and more profitably.
