Founded in 1983, the Tau Center for Chemical Dependency is a health care facility that offers a range of treatment services for individuals with substance abuse issues. It provides a variety of rehabilitative, continuing care and support services. The center also offers assessment, diagnosis and detoxification services. The center also offers various outpatient treatment options for individuals who suffer from compulsive gambling and co-dependency and other addictive behaviors. It provides intervention training programs and organizes community educational presentations for individuals considered at risk for chemical dependency. Located in Baton Rouge, La., the Tau Center for Chemical Dependency is a part of the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
