About Oxendale's Market Oxendale's Market is a family owned grocery store located in the Nokomis neighborhood of Minneapolis. From the moment you enter Oxendale's you will notice something different a fresh approach to grocery shopping! A fun, inviting atmosphere with many friendly faces. These are the faces of your neighbors who are here to help you with all of your shopping needs. We are dedicated to listen to our customers and respond quickly to their requests. We at Oxendale's are a true example of what local means. We live here, shop here and are dedicated to this south Minneapolis neighborhood we call home. We get our products from local sources whenever possible and support local organizations. Store owner, Neil Oxendale, grew up only a few blocks from the store and began working there at the age of 15. He never imagined that he would some day own it. In early 2007, when Neil worked at the store as night manager, rumors began to circulate that the place was for sale. He quietly began negotiations to buy the store. Several months later, with the help of friends, Neil took over. Since then there have been many changes and improvements to this neighborhood store. In addition to a completely new look, the store now features a full service meat department and vastly updated product selections. Neil has also enlisted the help of his brother Adam, and parents Ray and Louise. Oxendale's is a neighborhood store and a family-run store!
