Founded in 1980, the Psychology Service Center offers a range of American Psychological Association-approved psychology internship programs. It provides individual, family, child and group therapeutic programs. The center also offers programs on psychological assessment, community outreach, employee assistance and psychoeducational for mental health professionals. It provides the SMART Recovery, which is an abstinence-based and self-help recovery program for people having problems with drinking. The Psychology Service Center also conducts training sessions on intellectual and personality assessment, neuropsychological and vocational evaluation, and individual and family therapy. It additionally offers consulting services. The center maintains a location in Portland, Ore. It is a part of Pacific University, which was founded in 1849 and provides educational opportunities.
