Established in 2005, the Paideia Academy is a public school that serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its academic curriculum includes history, physical education, music, science and language arts. The academy offers special education programs and serves students in Apple Valley, Lakeville, Eagan, Burnsville, Rosemount and Farmington in Minnesota. The Paideia Academy also conducts character development and classical education sessions. It works in partnership with MacPhail Center for Music, as well as provides speech therapy. The academy additionally conducts classes in various foreign languages, such as Spanish and Latin. The Paideia Academy is authorized by the Friends of Education. Its after-school activities include chess and theater arts.
