Or sample the Seafood Platter: a plate topped full of deliciously enticing fried shrimp, catfish, stuffed shrimp and crab.
The perfect drink can complement and enhance the flavors of your meal. Ask one of our knowledgeable servers about our worldly wine selections or about our extensive cocktail menu. A Guest favorite is the Killer Whale with swirls of frozen margarita and frozen hurricane blended with melon and raspberry liqueurs for a little extra kick. On the less powerful side, Pappas Seafood offers a selection of refreshing drinks for those looking for something non-alcoholic. Pappas Seafood House maintains a long tradition of exceptional food and service, started by our grandfather, H.D. Pappas. Carrying only a suitcase and the address of relatives in Memphis, Tennessee, H.D. left his Greek homeland in 1897 at the age of 17 to begin a new life in America.
Determined to build a home for himself and his family, H.D. landed his first job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. Hard work and success led to his opening of numerous restaurants in Little Rock, Arkansas and Dallas, Texas that boasted hearty, downhome cooking at reasonable prices. Service was on a first name basis and folks came from miles away just to experience his good food and fine service. H.D. Pappas died in Dallas at the ripe old age of 83, but left his relatives his restaurants' key to success:
"Give 'em fresh food, large quantities,
fair prices and a friendly atmosphere!"
Today, the third generation of the Pappas family continues to offer the highest quality food and service in a lively atmosphere. We serve only the finest of fresh seafood available in season and priced to market conditions. Visit one of our Houston locations today!
