The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology offers care services for children and families afflicted with childhood blood disorders and cancers. It provides medical services to more than 1,000 children and families in inpatient and outpatient centers. The division conducts Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-certified program in collaboration with the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It participates in various clinical research trials. The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology also conducts research to identify and develop new medications and curative strategies. It additionally offers 24-hour emergency services. The division is manages by Weill Cornell Medical College, which was founded in 1898. Weill Cornell Medical College is a clinical and medical research center that provides degrees in medicine and operates through more than 15 academic departments. It maintains an affiliation with Hospital for Special Surgery. The college is certified by the Association of American Medical Colleges.
