Pediatrix Cardiology Associates Of New Mexico

Pediatrix Cardiology Associates of New Mexico is our state’s premier and most comprehensive pediatric cardiology practice. We evaluate and manage: congenital heart disease from the fetus through adult life
acquired heart disease from the fetus through childhood
and arrhythmias (non-invasive) from the fetus through childhood. In addition, we manage pacemakers and perform state-of-the-art interventional catheterization. We are the only practice in the state associated with a congenital cardiac surgical program and are deeply involved in pre-operative and post-operative management. Our home office is in Albuquerque, but we also maintain an extensive clinical outreach program, seeing patients in over 200 outreach clinics, at 7 different sites throughout the state. Outreach locations include Clovis, Farmington, Gallup, Las Cruces, Rio Rancho, Roswell, and Santa Fe.Our inpatients services are primarily provided at Presbyterian Hospital. We also support the Neonatal Units at Lovelace Women's Hospital and Presbyterian's Rust Medical Center.Our echocardiography lab is the only IAC accredited lab in the state and performs around 5,000 studies a year. Our group consists of 4.5-FTE cardiologist (3-general, 1-interventional and 0.5-non-invasive EP), 3-FTE sonographers, 3-MAs, 2-billers, 2-schedulers, 1-receptionist and a practice manager. Our leadership team consists of: Jerry Holmes, MD, PhD, Medical Director, Ashley Gudgel, Practice Manager and Joanna L. Holmes, Technical Director of the Echocardiography lab.
