Established in 1984, People Assisting the Homeless provides services and supportive housing for homeless/people at risk of being homeless. Based in Los Angeles, Calif., the organization helps homeless people find work, save money, secure housing and empower their lives. It offers an array of services, such as transitional/affordable housing, outreach/referrals, education/employment assistance and health services, to name a few.
