Founded in 1969, People Incorporated is one of the largest comprehensive, multiservice corporations that serves individuals with disabilities in the Minneapolis area. The organization maintains a staff of more than 400 employees. People Incorporated offers case management, homeless and family support services. The organization operates several drop-in centers that are community-based resource and support centers. It offers recreational, health and wellness skills training, employment support and volunteer opportunities for individuals with mental disabilities. In addition, it administers the Northside Community Support Program, which is a resource center for adults and offers illness management and recovery, housing and benefits assistance, supportive counseling, peer support, psychosocial educational and support groups, community outreach and education services.
