Founded in 1970, People Incorporated is one of New York's leading nonprofit human services agencies. It offers a variety of residential, employment, community outreach, health care and recreation programs for seniors, families and people with disabilities. People Incorporated is a member of the American Association of Museums, American Counseling Association, American Dietetic Association, American Express, American Rehabilitation Association and Amherst Chamber of Commerce. The agency offers a range of health care services for people with disabilities, children, seniors and the community through its Elmwood Health Center. It accepts fees through Medicaid and some private insurance companies. In addition, People Incorporated offers intensive behavioral training and counseling services.
