The Philadelphia Phillies are a Major League Baseball franchise. Formed in 1883, Baseball Hall of Fame inductees who played for the team at least a decade include Rich Ashburn, Ed Delahanty, Chuck Klein and Mike Schmidt. The National League East team plays its home games at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The Phillies won the World Series in 1980. The team has played in five Word Series and appeared in six National League Championship Series since 1915. Minor league affiliates of the Philadelphia Phillies include the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons, an AAA team in Scranton, Pa; and the Reading Phillies, an AA team in Reading, Pa.
