The San Joes Police Department preserve peace, enforces laws and ordinances, protects residents lives and properties and safeguards individual rights and community values. It has an airport division that was founded in 1990. The San Joes Police Airport Division works with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (F. B. I.) and other local, state and federal agencies to enforce the Airport Security Plan. The division provides patrol services for Mineta San Jose International Airport utilizing officers on foot, bicycle, and segway as well as in police patrol cars. Additionally its bomb dogs, squad offers specially trained explosives detection canines. It is located in San Joes, Calif.
