The Portland Development Commission is governed by the City of Portland in Oregon. It focuses on job creation, community partnerships, and the expansion of existing and new funding sources. The Commission is involved in the stewardship of public resources. It administers more than 20 urban renewal plans. The Portland Development Commission offers waterfront redevelopment, housing assistance, transit-oriented development, and business recruitment and retention services. It works in partnership with the Small Business Advisory Council. The commission provides strategic redevelopment planning, predevelopment assistance, and property acquisition and redevelopment services. It also offers asset management, tax credit financing, housing development, and site selection and recruitment services. The Portland Development Commission s projects include the Gateway Regional Center, River District and Lents Town Center.
