Established in 1980, P.R.I.D.E., known as Promoting Responsible Independence in Daily Endeavors, provides independent living services for senior citizens with developmental disabilities. The organization teaches life management skills, including budgeting, cooking and parenting. P.R.I.D.E. also provides supported living services that include behavioral and medical training and support options. The organization offers instruction for money management, food preparation, nutrition, housekeeping, communication and hygiene. It has a partnership with West Elm Furniture. In addition, the organization provides health care, first aid and community awareness services. P.R.I.D.E. is located in San Diego.
