Providence Academy is a private, Catholic, coeducational college preparatory school that offers education to more than 1,000 students enrolled in prekindergarten through grade 12. It offers classes in various subjects, including English, math, science, American history, government, literature, foreign languages, music, fine arts and physical education. The academy lays emphasis on enhancing the reading, writing and language skills of students. It has athletic teams for football, soccer, basketball, cross country, hockey, tennis, golf, softball, volleyball, softball and baseball. The academy also offers various extracurricular activities, such as theater, math, chess, movie and ski clubs, choir, band, quiz bowl, scouting, speech, debate and religious retreats. Founded in 2001, Providence Academy is located in Plymouth, Minn.
