Chef Hilmi and his wife Sajeda came back to NOLA to open up their own restaurant after Hurricane Katrina. Chef Hilmi learned to cook as a young boy and worked as a chef in Jerusalem for over 20 years. He has been cooking in the US for over 15 years. Chef Hilmi and Sajeda worked day and night to repair the restaurant after the storm and can always be found eating and joking with guests in the dining room. With Chef Hilmi nothing is more important than family and every customer first-timer or regular is treated as such.
