Quality Dairy Company was founded in 1936 by Gregory J. Martin and Harvey Mack who began their business by providing bottled milk from small milk stores. In 1940, Quality Dairy started producing, distributing and selling ice cream, candy and gum in the stores. Today, the family-owned company offers food items that include white milk, cereals, doughnuts, juices, sandwiches, sliced bacon, pizzas, breadsticks, buns and cookies. It serves a variety of beer and wines. Its bakery has an area of more than 37,000 square feet. Some of the company's stores also have gasoline stations. In addition to its dairy, bakery, warehouse and retail stores, the company operates Quality Dairy Company Plastic, which services the beverage industry. Operating over 30 locations, Quality Dairy provides gifts and cash cards. It maintains several store locations in Lansing, Mich.
