Radiation Oncology is a part of the cancer department of Legacy Health System. The center employs a variety of nurse practitioners, radiation therapists, physicians and medical dosimetrists, office assistants and oncology social workers. The health system also provides radiation therapies through its other facilities, including Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital. It also provides a range of brachytherapy programs for various types of cancers that include prostate, breast, gynecologic and soft tissue sarcomas. Additionally, it offers various other radiation therapies, such as conformal external beam therapy, intensity-modulated therapy, image-guided therapy and novalis-shaped beam surgery and therapy.
