Established in 1951, Ramsey County Library maintains a collection of more than 1 million items, including books, magazines, newspapers, databases and business directories. The library houses a range of CDs, DVDs, cassettes and video tapes. It provides fiction and nonfiction books on a variety of subjects, such as romance, horror and literature. It operates various clubs and organizations for children, students and adults. The library also organizes a variety of programs, such as reading activities, book discussions and creative events. In addition, Ramsey County Library conducts computer classes for its members. It provides various types of services, including photocopying, interlibrary loans, reference services and Internet access. The library is a member of the Metropolitan Library Service Agency. Ramsey County Library maintains locations in Roseville, Maplewood, Shoreview and Arden Hills, Minn.
