Established in 1988, Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit network of more than 200 affiliates throughout the United States. It preserves affordable housing by bringing volunteers and communities together to rehabilitate the homes of low income homeowners. The organization provides repair, rehabilitative and modification services for homes. Rebuilding Together maintains and revitalizes over 1,500 communities nationwide. It supports enactment of a National Housing Trust Fund. In addition, the organization supports funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs Specially Adapted Housing program. Rebuilding Together conducts National Rebuilding Day, Safe & Healthy Homes and Veterans Housing. It is located in Washington, D.C.
