The Recreation, Parks and Arts Department, with its office located in Largo, Fla., offers residents a variety of facilities and programs through its parks. Its Highland Family Aquatic Center is a family water park that includes two pool areas, deck and grass space, shade structures, snack bar, family rest room facility and locker rooms. Its athletic programs at various parks include soccer softball, baseball and volleyball. The Largo Cultural Center holds various cultural and entertainment programs, such as theater, children's stage productions, singers and many local, national and international events. The McGough Nature Park includes nature trails, picnic areas and shelters, a playground, restrooms and a boardwalk that leads to panoramic views. Its other facilities include a teen center, feed store, community center, golf course and skate park, apart from several neighborhood parks. All its facilities are available on rental for parties, meetings and company events.
