Rescue Mission, located in Roanoke, Va., was established more than 50 years ago. It specializes in a wide variety of human services. The mission focuses on serving the homeless, hungry, chemically addicted, and poor people. Rescue Mission and its team offers 24-hours, seven-days a week support to people. The mission s services include hospitality dining room, recovery program, emergency shelter, and thrift store and recycling services. It additionally offers adult education through the Mending Wings Adult Learning Center that provides individualized, computer-based and learner-centered approach to remedial adult educational needs. Rescue Mission offers Jubilee Acres, a day camp offering various programs for homeless children, and it also offers an adult Christian retreat program.
