The Richland/Lexington Disabilities and Special Needs Board supports people who suffer from autism, mental retardation and related disabilities. The board also serves patients with head and spinal cord injuries. It supports an early intervention program for more than 4,000 children up to the age of 5. The Richland/Lexington Disabilities and Special Needs Board provides respite care, family support, day habilitation and employment support services. The board offers various prevention services for neural tube defects. It also supports the CTH I residential program. The Richland/Lexington Disabilities and Special Needs Board serves the patients of Richland and Lexington counties in South Carolina.
