Kay Richter is Past President of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Arizona. Kay completed three years as an elected representative on the Probate and Trust Council for the State Bar of Arizona. Ms. Richter founded the Southern Arizona Sole Practitioner's Section of the State Bar of Arizona, and was the original Chairperson.
Further, she is the organizer of the Estate Planning/Elder Law and Probate Lunch Group for lawyers, part of the Sole Practitioner's Section of the State Bar. She served on the Board of Directors of Pima Council on Aging.
Kay has earned the highest possible rating by the oldest legal directory in the nation. Additionally, she received the 2003 national award for outstanding achievement from the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys for her work in the Arizona Chapter.
Ms. Richter has been an invited speaker for many seminars on Estate Planning, Probate and Elder Law. These have included presentations to retirement communities, the Alzheimer's Association, Raytheon, University of Arizona, and Pima County pre-retirees. In addition she gives seminars for other lawyers in this area for the Pima County Bar Association, Arizona State Bar Association, CPA Law Forum, the National Business Institute and Arizona Women Lawyers Association.
